Recently I discovered Interact (affiliate link), a software for creating marketing quizzes (personality or assessment), polls, and giveaways.

Building Quizzes The Old Way

I've made quite a few quizzes in the past with tools that just didn't recognize the purpose of the quiz was to help capture leads. Either they didn't allow me to ask for a name and email address or the quiz tool was so cumbersome that trying to style it to match my client's brand was really difficult. I'd spend hours trying to override the CSS and would be forced to use third-party tools like Zapier to duct tape the quiz and email marketing service provider together. It was an arduous process.

The New Way to Build Quizzes

That's all changed now that I use Interact. This super-charged quiz software was built with marketing in mind:

Interact blows those old systems out of the water. It took me about 15 minutes to pull my 8 question quiz together with three outcome results and integrate it with ONTRAPORT. I spent more time selecting and editing my images in Photoshop (35 mins.) than working inside Interact.

The interface has built-in tour and hotspot prompts to help new users navigate easily. I particularly liked how it offered me 4 areas to focus on when I clicked the Edit button: Branding & Styling, Questions & Results, Integration and Share & Embed. It gave me an easy starting/stopping place while building out my quiz.

The Bottomline

Interact has a free trial offer (affiliate link) so you can take it for a test drive before you buy it. As far as pricing, for the Lite Plan it's $29 dollars per month, but drops down to $17 per month if you choose to pay annually. The Lite Plan integrates with ActiveCampaign, Aweber, Campaign Monitor, Constant Contact, ConvertKit, Drip, GetResponse, Klaviyo, MadMimi, Mailchimp, MailerLite, SendGrid and Zapier.

The Growth plan is $89 per month or $53 per month if you choose the annual payment plan. The Growth Plan gives you the basic integrations (above) plus the heavy-hitters like Hubspot, Infusionsoft, Maropost, and Ontraport.

A few things to consider when making an investment like this:

  1. Define the goal of the quiz and be aware that your results can help put your prospects into common groups for tagging and marketing. Design your quiz with segmenting in mind.
  2. You've to make sure your quiz directly relates to the problem your product or service solves. Try working the funnel backward (start at the point of sale) and roadmap what things someone would need to know before they pulled out their credit card.
  3. The post quiz follow-up funnel is critical for leading to a sale. Make sure you create a funnel for each outcome.
