I've labeled mine “Free Updates” in the menu of my site and in the URL, I made it easy for me to remember and type–https://innerspacemarketing.com/email. I did this not only to track who comes from YouTube, but also my Facebook Page.

If you're running into trouble and don't see the Associated Website option on your YouTube Video Manager annotations area–you'll need to do a few more simple steps.

The first is to verify your YouTube account by signing into YouTube and then going to http://youtube.com/verify. Next make sure your account is in good standing. Finally, you may need to “claim” your website with Google Webmaster Tools. It's a fairly short and easy process. Once you sign up for Webmaster tools, you click Add A Site. Next, Google will ask you to verify that you indeed own the website by uploading a Google HTML file to your site, and then visit t he link they give you to activate it, and lastly click on the Verify button on Google Webmaster Tools. I know, it's a lot of hoops to jump through–but it's worth it. There are some alternative ways to verify your account as well. Check out your options and verify!

Once  your main site is verified, you can associate additional websites in with the same process inside Google Webmaster Tools, and have those sites link with your same YouTube Channel.

When you hop back into YouTube to use the Associated Website Annotations for the first time, you'll have to click a big blue bar that says ENABLE.
