I wasn't born in the great state of Texas, but like the song says, I got here as fast as I could.
Texas has a lot of quirks–like everybody's fixin' to do something. Which is straight up Texan for “Look, I haven't done it, I know it needs to be done, I'm going to do it, get off my case.” Somehow, “I'm fixin' to” just sounds a little more hospitable.

And that brings me to shopping in Texas–you're almost always greeted and treated kindly when you walk in a store. So much so, I've come to expect it. I recently had a less than stellar experience.

Now here's an example of a great customer experience.

About 3 months ago, I purchased a Chrysalis Cardi from enCircled, a lovely fashion line from some very clever women designers in Canada. Tucked inside my package with my Chrysalis Cardi was this postcard with a lovely handwritten note from Kristi.

Now this isn't like a handmade purchase from an artisan on Etsy–enCircled is a substantial sized business. This goes a long way with me. I've kept it on my nightstand for the past 3 months, just because I like to be reminded that I'm amazing each morning when I don't feel so amazing. Way to go enCircled–you've got a customer for life and I'll happily sing your praises.

Now tell me below–what could you do to give a little extra to your clients and customers?
