These are my five recommended tech tools to boost your sales funnels. This year I've done multiple launches with several clients. We've tried and tested a number of different apps to help boost sales and create urgency during the sales cycle.
Here's a rundown of my favorites that worked great, some of which I am an affiliate for if I'm actively using and loving the app (noted with an asterisk*). All of these tools have the one thing I consider critical when looking for a tool whether paid or free—a great, responsive customer service support team and excellent tutorials to get you started.
Campaign & Sales Funnel Mapping
Everything starts at the drawing board, right? To create a killer sales funnel, you've got to map it out first. I've just discovered this new tool called Funnelytics.io to map out complex sales funnels. I've been a long-time user of Lucid Chart for this, but the ease of use and icons that I actually use and need are swaying me over to Funnelytics. Not to mention that it's FREE right now. I don't know if they will move to a subscription model for their service in the future, but for now it's free.
Top of Funnel Engagement Tools
Driving traffic into your funnel through paid and free strategies is key to your funnel success. It's a numbers game. Here are a few tools to help engagement.
ManyChat is a Facebook chat bot application. Yes, I know, it's very Skynet, but really if you've got any sort of business presence on Facebook, have a look at ManyChat. With another tool I love (and use a lot), Zapier, you've got the ability to connect your ManyChat bot to your CRM and other systems too – like for webinars and other things. Zapier is an API tool that hooks two programs together, like a circuit connector.
It takes a bit of time and critical thinking to setup your “growth tools” inside of ManyChat. You've got to think of a simple interaction (much like a lead funnel) that uses multiple choice answers for the person to click on to get them further down the path by offering a free download, a webinar registration or other lead magnet. This is where a Funnelytics map comes in handy.
You also have the ability to tag chatters based on their interest choices. One of my clients uses it every week to announce her Facebook Live broadcasts.
The growth tools are handy featuring embeddable widgets and they even have one where you can add a customer chat through Facebook messenger on your sales page.
MeetEdgar * is a social media tool to help you with reposts, and getting your content spread far and wide. Think of Edgar as your social media recycling octopus. He'll reshare content based on your rules on different social media channels that you specify. You have a “Use Once” category that Edgar will only post once for you, which is great for sharing timely articles or links. I've been using MeetEdgar for years, and I'm a part of their Octopals program. If you use my affiliate link, you can save $10 off your purchase of MeetEdgar.
Create Urgency
There is a constant struggle to create urgency around a product that's for sale all the time (evergreen). You either have to offer something “extra” of push a limited time offer, which can be a logistical tech nightmare.
Deadline Funnels* solves this problem beautifully with conditional redirects when an offer expires. You set up your deadline funnel length of time, your “offer” sales page, and the normal priced sales page URL that the person who has seen the offer redirects to when the offer expires. It also allows you to put countdown timers on the sales page and in your emails. Deadline Funnels will generate email links to the offer that you copy and paste into your emails. It's a really powerful offer system.
Their help desk is OUTSTANDING. The interface can be overwhelming in Deadline Funnels for a new user, although they have a new tab system to help you navigate. I've chatted with their support team many times with complex questions and they are very responsive.
Deadline Funnels will connect with your CRM as well. They offer a free trial and pricing starts at $37 per month.
Social Proof
Like it or not, our brains are hard-wired to belong. Proof expounds on this psychological need to gently prod fence-sitters to buying customers.
First you place proof code on specific pages like your opt-in page (where you're collecting data) and your thank you page for the conversion, and then will show a little message in the bottom left corner of your sales page (or any other page you define) that So&So has just joined the program. Message formats are customizable. I really like Proof as it's easy to setup, easy to install, and just plain works.
What's your favorite new tool to use with your sales funnel? I'd love to hear about it!
