I'm all about leveraging tools to make my life easier. IFTTT.com is one site that does just that. IFTTT stands for “If This Then That,” a neat little phrase from the coder world. It sets up if this (whatever it may be) happens, then it will fire off another action (the that).
Ifttt.com is free, and it's searchable for other user's “recipes” so you don't even have to create one from scratch–you will have to enable the channels that you want to use by granting permission access to sites like Facebook, Facebook Pages, Twitter, Gmail, your email, and more.
In this video I will show you how easy it is to use Ifttt.com for your business.
Each recipe only consists of two channels (such as Facebook and Twitter); however you could link together triggers by creating another chain. For example: If I post to my Facebook Page–>send that post to Twitter as a Tweet. If I post a new tweet on twitter–>then post a status post in Linkedin…this could go on and on! It just needs your imagination to use it in a way that helps you!
